I really like one feature of the latest Invision updates - this is the company behind this forum software. Some of the recent releases have included additional functionality that wasn't always useful (e.g. status updates etc.) However, in the most recent blog posting they've revealed you'll be able to set a forum up to allow you to login using Twitter. Assuming this all works well - and it doesn't allow spammers to post easily - I really like this idea.

I've long used this forum as a form of extended blog - posting ideas and thoughts. Yet others cannot reply as easily as on a blog because they need an account. However, if the Twitter integration works, it will really boost the functionality.

I'm not sure we'll need (or want) the status updates to appear on the forum, but I suppose having the status update in a profile being the latest Twitter update might actually make more sense.

Anyway, I think this is a really interesting development and much more useful that Facebook integration
