Developing my experiments to make dynamic use of my ContentGenerator.net games - see this previous topic http://www.effective...?showtopic=2066 - I've now successfully got the concept working in Moodle. Initially I thought it would be really difficulty - the dynamic method makes use of some javascript together with additional characters / details added to the URL. This already takes place within Moodle, so I thought that the two wouldn't work together. However, it appears that it wasn't a problem at all - I had to edit a few .html pages directly within Moodle, rather than use the Moodle rich-text interface, but aside from that it was just fiddling around with files.

On the Fenland IT Diploma website at http://www.fendip.net there will consequently be a growing number of topics related to the new IT Diploma as we develop them. These will be freely available for all to make educational use of. See this Moodle course - http://www.fendip.ne.../view.php?id=11

Thanks!

Hi - thanks for responding and welcome to the forum.

Do you have access to Moodle? If so, I can just export this course and then you'll be able to import it directly. My colleagues and do plan to develop additional revision and learning topics to accompany the IT Diploma and will keep adding them.

We do have to keep the main parts of the IT Diploma materials protected because they are based on paid-for resources but anything like this that we produce I'm always very keen to share.

Our consortium is delivering the L3 diploma - but we are just delivering the L2 at our school, whereas a nearby post-16 college is delivering the L3. Do feel free to start any new topics on this forum or I can get my colleagues to get in direct contact with you if you wish.

Hi,
I feel as if we have just been offered a lifeline! Yes, we do have access to Moodle so that would be excellent. Certainly I will use the forum now I have come across it. We are offering the L3 Diploma from this September and are in our first year of delivering the Level 2 with 10 students. We are finding it challenging to say the least!
Thanks very much

Yes - apologies for not getting back sooner. I'll do my very best to get in touch next week and give you a copy of the course and see what else we can share for future development and ideas Posted Image

I like the front page's theme @Fenland.
A Lot! So, have you made any themes for moodle?

Just picking up on this - sorry very busy recently. I've never made any Moodle themes but I do tinker with existing ones. By far the best Moodle themes can be found at - New School Learning. I used his for the Neale-Wade Moodle - http://www.nwvle.net and the Fenland Diploma too - http://www.fendip.net/vle/. Yet I did tinker with them by adding different header images. The one for the Fenland Diploma site was just a funky graphic I found, purchased and adapted from http://www.istockphoto.com. The one for Neale-Wade was a photo from Neale-Wade with some silhouettes added in front.

I hope to add further games to the Fenland site over the summer - this has untapped potential. Posted Image
